Moroccan Argan Oil for Beauty, Health and for Cooking

The rarest oil, besides Bulgarian Rose Otto Essential oil is Moroccan Argan Oil. I first heard of this oil from a customer of mine.  She was selling this oil at very high prices.  It cost much more than Nigella sativa and more even than olive oil.  So why was this very rare beauty oil so expensive?

According to Natural News, " Argan oil is produced from the kernels of the tree and is one of the rarest and most expensive oils in the world. Berber women have used Argan oil for centuries to protect and nourish their skin, hair and nails from the harsh conditions in which they live. Now Argan oil is gaining popularity as a "miracle ingredient" in the Western beauty product industry. It has extremely high levels of Vitamin E and 80% fatty acids which make it perfect for healing many skin ailments as well as protecting against premature aging caused by oxidation."

There are two types of argan oils.  The cooking oil is less expensive, but the kernels are roasted before pressing and the cosmetic oil is pure 100 percent cold pressed, such as the one pictured to your left.  It only takes a very tiny bit to be effective and you and can add a few drops of the oil to your present creams and use it direct.  Many fail in the correct use of this oil by using too much and thus complaining it is too expensive and does not last long.

The major difference between the two grades of Argan oil is that the food grade Argan oil is roasted before it is grinded to extract the oil so as to make it edible.

The cosmetic Argan oil grade is cold-pressed from raw Argon seeds and not roasted so as to retain its high amounts of essential fatty acids and medicinal properties. The species Argania once covered North Africa and is now endangered and under protection of UNESCO. Argan oil remains one of the rarest oils in the world due the small and very specific growing areas.

Method of extraction: Cold Pressed/Unrefined

This rare and exquisite oil is meticulously expeller pressed from the fruit kernels of the Moroccan Argan tree. Argan oil is rich in natural tocopherols (vitamin E) and phenols, carotenes, squalene and fatty acids, making it a truly luxurious oil. Watts Beauty Argan Oil

From Beauty Expert & Best Selling Author - Kat James, One of the most important things you can do to "get back your virgin skin" is to rebuild the skin's lipid barrier (which many anti-wrinkle products ironically destroy), both from the inside-out (with a clean, anti-inflammatory, and healthy fat-rich diet) and from the outside-in with topicals that actually feed and rebuild the lipid barrier of your skin. Because of it's unique lipid structure- including an anti-inflammatory (and anti-acne) sterol profile that no other oil possesses- nothing beats cold-pressed, organic argan oil in this category.

I received a two ounce sample of Watts Beauty's ArganGold six months ago and am just getting to the bottom of the little bottle. Even after already using some of the best natural products out there, the addition of just a drop of ArganGold caused an immediate increase in the softness, "waterproofness," and glow of my skin.

Other expensive products can mimic this with silicones or mineral oils, but at a price to the skin's health and an ultimately drying and irritating result. The artificial glow afforded by synthetic skin products washes off, stripping away your own real glow (protective sebum) with synthetic emulsifiers and washing it down the drain (that's a dirty little secret of synthetic skin products).

But with Watts Beauty ArganGold, the glow is a part of your skin even after you wash it. ArganGold literally becomes your skin (your nails, or your hair).
