Life Will Never Return to Normal - Coronavirus will Devastate the World

The Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Al-Adayleh, expected that life will not return to normal as we had previously assumed due to the Corona epidemic

Al-Adayleh said that many people's habits will change not only in Jordan but also around the world

When I saw these words, I was sad but realistic that times can only change when Allah shows us mercy and forgives us for the great sins we have done.  I have said this all along.  We have an angry God.

Minister Al Adayleh's speech continued

But a life full of love and joy, free from opulence and social luxury, will continue as long as all of humanity on this planet shook by Virus is not seen with the naked eye.

REALIZATION MUST SET IN

On May 27th I will be 67 and for those of us who are aging, we may see the new world.  The world belongs to the younger generation but will they appreciate the gift that they have been given.

Countries are giving out billions to help residents and once the virus subsides they will have to rectify the books.  Can a poor country like Jordan exist without some reckoning?

The US is talking about a second stimulus package and anything from giving out advances on Social Security to monthly checks.  If they give out he advance on Social Security there will be interest attached.  Even though the interest rate is very low, it is still interest and your initial retirement will be held till the loan is paid in full.

For us on social security or Islamic, this will not help.  Muslims do not pay interest and so true Muslims could never accept this.

So what is the answer?  I look at my many cats and wonder how I will feed them.  Amazon recently reduced our commissions to 1% and so many of us lost 80% income.

Google and Youtube have reduced adsense dollars and so our once vibrant channels are no more.  What we depended on was extra sales like black seed oil but when people are out of work, how can they shop.

Even now we have a sale going on but who can afford to buy?  I have not sold one bottle of oil in days.

Next Steps

So I was talking to my cats this evening about the aspect of our life.  Income going down daily, no help from either government and bills to be paid.  My main expense is the homeless shelter I run for the cats.

I mean I tried to get the cats to eat dry food and you should have heard the screams.  I have 12 indoor cats and 8 outside cats.

I paid my rent for 14 months, paid my water bill for a year and have set up programs to pay my bills electronically.

Taxi fares are high in a pandemic.  In Jordan we are on an odd and even system.  If your license plate has an odd number then you go one day and if you have an even number, you go the next.  We have limited hours to travel also.

Almost all places of business are open but most impossible to go to like the bank.  The bank is impossible to get in to.

I am blessed where many are not.  I have income of sorts with potentials like my consultation business.  Hundred of thousands in Jordan are very poor and many do not have food.

The utility companies are very cooperative and helped us pay part of the electric bill too and no utilities are due as long as there is a pandemic.

Jordan has tons of social services helping the poor but I of course do not qualify.  I work for US companies and so I am self employed.

But what is left to do?

As the virus situation gets worse all residents all over the world must prepare.  Beside financial considerations, you have to think of travel and mental stability.

When the People are Poor -  Robbery Occurs

Recently my area was attacked by robbers and thieves.  My doctor lost a huge compressor worth $500 and he said it would take 4 people to move the air compressor, which means gangs are in the area.

I too was attacked and I am bringing in a metal guy to secure my area as two days in a row found my front gate open and last night found a screw driver by my back door.  I called the doctor saying they are really trying to break in.

He tells me there are haramees (thieves) everywhere.  A scary time for sure.

What has to Wait?

I need a new bridge but it has to wait.  I need a new toilet (cost me $225) but it has to wait.  I eat a lot of bad foods as getting to the fruit and veggie market is hard.  The more and more cases that appears, we feel it is best to stay home.

The more you are outside in crowds, the worse it is  and the bigger the chance you have of infections. So we stay home more.  We are currently on a 3 day total ban.

Being I live alone I must think of survival as does everyone.  Before we jump to buy something, we must think.  Look more to home delivery but then again we have been warned that delivery people can be carriers of the virus.

So who do you trust?

The times I have been out, there has been mass mania situations?  Now at Safeway they give out gloves if you don't have them.  The Water company was the best and they had major setups that was good.

2 vegetable markets shut down and so I personally am careful.  My local grocer, Sarah, is awful and I refuse to go there. No mask or gloves and they let ice cream completely melt to a loose liquid and they were just going to refreeze it and sell.  I told them people would get sick.  I reported them but did not hear if anything was done.

The bread stores were awful too and no social distancing at all.  But in some cases, you just have to go.

I am lucky as I have many freezers and refrigerators and so I stock up as I can.  But it takes one mistake and you can be infected.  I tell my taxi to wash his hands and face before coming here, but does he really?

I told him to wash the steering wheel of his car, but does he?

Opening Too Soon

It is my opinion that people are opening up too soon and especially in the US.  The minister here said that with more crowds we would see more cases.  People are already ignoring instructions.

Our ministers have great knowledge of how to defer the virus, but still we have people who are "idiots" and do not follow instructions.

We are seeing mass crowds in the US and they will not wear masks and gloves and some are being horrible.

Just because your state opens, does not mean your safe.

What are you doing to be safe?

Elderly at Risk

As I said above, I am 67 and have high stress levels which impairs the immune system.  I know that I must follow the rules, wear masks and gloves and avoid traveling out much.  I know the limits but still I am at risk, everyone is.

I do everything I can.  But many do not.  They get relaxed and think they are safe.  No one is safe.

If it is an angry God, do you think he is done?  In my country people cannot travel if they are over 60, but everyone does.  My neighbor tells me she must buy food.

Our Minister's Eiry words

Life will never be the same.  Yes that is what he said.  It saddens me to know he is telling the truth.  Will you and others abide by his words, improve your immune system, eliminate the stress, buy the black seed oil you need, eat better and exercise more?  Most won't till they get that awful diagnosis.

Are we the ones to be chosen to die or to get the virus?  Do we know enough to survive?

Only you can tell that.

As the says and months and years go by, we will all look back to what we should have done.  Keep in mind that many die within 4 days of being diagnosed and most have the virus for up to 27 days before signs appear.

You are not guaranteed life, you are only guaranteed that as sure as the sun rises, the pandemic is not over.
