Dr. Greger Talks About Black Cumin Seed and Weight Loss

I wondered why Dr. Greger never spoke on black cumin as it is indeed a very popular subject.  With more than 1484 research studies, why wouldn't he talk on this "MIRACLE HERB?"

Also known as black seed, black cumin, kalonji and haba al barakah, this blessed seed is known in the Bible, Quran and was even found in King Tut's tomb.

A systematic review was done on black seeds and the researchers found it to lower cholesterol, LDL and Tryglcerides but did little for HDL levels.

The researchers found with further study that taking 1 gram of the ground black seeds after breakfast showed  26.67% reduction of LDL.

The treatment period was for 2 months.  And yet we cannot consider this a cure because when the person quit taking the black seeds, the levels returned to the original levels.

NS may cause nausea, anorexia, dyspepsia and weight loss.  Keep in mind the taste may be pepperly and have a pungent bitter taste.

The reason for this is that the seeds were not heated properly.  We know from proper research, not done by Dr. Greger that raw seeds are not a valid healing agent.  Research further proved that seeds heated to no more than 140c, produced the best results.

While Dr. Greger goes on to taunt his philosophy that taking 1/4 teaspoon a day is enough, I dispute this.  We know as I have spoke about before that taking a high quality oil is best and taking one black cumin oil capsule before the meal is best.

I did like how he keeps a black pepper mill by his stove and I today went to look for one.  You in America are so blessed as Amazon has a lot.

Dr. Greger went on to talk about how many illnesses and diseases were cured and or treated with Nigella Sativa and he wondered why more were not pursuing this miracle herb.

WHY IS BLACK SEED NOT USED MORE?

Aha!!  He then says because the cost of the seeds is pennies compared to highly expensive pharmaceutical drugs.  Again cost is the reason more do not know how to do this.

I noticed in the comment section that there was so much controversy and again Dr. Greger was not an expert on the subject and gave much wrong info.

However let us address the solution.   Below are the black seeds I recommend.
