Oh the Pain - The Pain - The Pain - Natural Remedies that Work!!

There is no worse pain than having pain from a compressed disc.  I thought I experienced awful pain when I broke the cartilage in my knee, but no, this is the worse.  There was nothing that worked.  I went 5 days with no sleep too.

I searched and searched the web looking for answers.  My doctor suggested Moriphine was the only answer.  Disc problems are both costly and painful and normal routine is to be hospitalized and stretched or operated on. With no insurance, I only had one option and that was to try to make it through the night.

Day after day I suffered.  I am not talking a little suffering, I am talking suffering so bad, that death seemed better.  I tried multiple things I saw on the web trying to treat my pain the best way I could and nothing worked totally and then there was the edema.  Had major edema too.

Here is what works

My sister suffers from Fibromyalgia and the symptoms are very similar.  I went to Tony Isaacs page on Fibro and got some very important tips that worked for me.  The main answer was apple juice.

Funny how something so simple works.  Take a minimum of 2 glasses of apple juice daily.  Also take 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 1 teaspoon of honey in a glass of warm water 15 minutes before breakfast.  The malic acid works together with the pain meds to help you relax and feel better.

Turmeric and Ginger

The mistake I was making initially is listening to so many websites brag about turmeric. So I stayed on turmeric constantly or every 2 to 4 hours.  If I did not have slight pains, I had kidney pains.  What I learned is the best protocol is to take ginger first and then 3 to 4 hours later take the turmeric mixed with ground black pepper (20%).    This combination and the apple juice was almost perfect.

New research out is that vitamin c, e and Nigella sativa worked to reduce pain in Fibro patients and so I gave it a try.  I took 1000mg of vitamin c and 400mg of Vitamin E.  I took 1 teaspoon of black seed oil with 1 teaspoon of honey before breakfast and before sleep also.  If I had excess edema which happens due to the injury then I took another mixture during the time it was needed.

I also took:

Omega 3-6-9 from Puritan
Hyaluronic Acid from Now
Glucosamine Chrondroitin
Red Grape Seeds

I switched from local (baradee) honey to Yemeni honey and found that helped the most.  If you cannot find Yemeni honey, then Manukah is your 2nd best choice.

Recovery is Slow

Be careful about massages as those can be very damaging.  I learned the hard way.  The best massage oil is black cumin and olive oil mixed.  Mix half and half of each.

I started to notice less pain and then some days did not have to take any pain herbs for hours.  I always watched my pain levels, never letting them get too bad.  Always treat the pain at the lower level.  After you get the ginger and turmeric built up in your body, you will see they treat the pain easier.

With injuries you may suffer from edema, I did.  I had major edema problems.  I was prescribed a prescription diuretic as in the beginning had pitting edema.  As I tried to walk my injury put more pressure on the disc and developed more edema in my upper thigh and stomach.    I drank parsley tea for this and also the Nigella Sativa is good for inflammation.

Drink diuretic teas. These teas act as diuretics, increasing the amount of urine you produce and thus removing excess fluids from your body. Be wary of plant allergies and consult your doctor or pharmacist about interactions between these teas and any other medication you are taking. Drink 3-4 cups of tea every day, adding honey, stevia or lemon to taste.
  • Dandelion leaf tea: Be sure to get dandelion leaf tea, not dandelion root tea, which is also available but won’t help edema.
  • Cardamom tea: Make your own by adding 1 tsp of seeds or dried herb to 1 cup of hot water.  Crack open the pods before cooking with them.
  • Chamomile tea: This tea can also help you relax and sleep.
  • Chicory tea: This can be a good substitute for coffee.
  • Fennel tea: Make your own by adding 1 tsp of fennel seeds or leaves to a cup of water. Fennel also aids digestion and freshens the breath.
  • Parsley tea: This tea is diuretic and helps with digestion.  You can also use dried parsley
  • Stinging nettle tea: This tea is a diuretic and offers vitamins and minerals as well.
If you have major edema, like I do, diuretics are all you have.   I have heard acupuncture helps.  Eat small meals, drink lots of water, drop the caffeine and eat healthy with no sugar or white flours.

Being well is a day to day goal.  You cannot repair a compressed nerve, sciatica over nite.

Nigella Sativa Shown to have the Analgesic Ability Equal to Aspirin

In this research study Nigella Sativa was tested for pain and the end result showed it was equal to the strength of aspirin.  While a stronger dose or more often may give stronger results.  Another of its many many benefits.

Background: Drugs commonly used in modern medicine for suppression of pain and fever provide only symptomatic relief, and long-term use of these drugs is associated with serious adverse effects.

Recently, some evidences suggest that Nigella sativa inhibit eicosanoid generation in leukocytes and lipid peroxidation. They are reported to inhibit both cyclooxygenase and 5-lipooxygenase pathways of arachidonic acid metabolism (Houghton et al. Planta Med 1995;61:33–6).

Aims and Objectives: To investigate the analgesic and antipyretic activity of N. sativa seed fixed oil and compare it with control and aspirin.

Materials and Methods: Albino Wistar rats of either sex weighing 180–200 g and Swiss mice weighing 25–30 g were used. The study was conducted after approval from the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee.

The tail flick method in rats described by D’Amour and Smith and acetic acid-induced writhing in mice were used for evaluation of analgesic activity and baker’s yeast-induced pyrexia method was used to evaluate antipyretic activity.

Result: In tail flick method of analgesia, N. sativa showed analgesic activity, which was comparable with aspirin. In acetic acid-induced writhing model of analgesia, the action of N. sativa was significantly greater than the control group, and it was comparable with aspirin.

In baker’s yeast-induced pyrexia method, N. sativa group did not show any significant reduction in the rectal temperature at any hour interval. The changes in the rectal temperature in N. sativa group were comparable with control group (p > 0.05).

Conclusion: Nigella sativa fixed oil has significant analgesic activity in both tail flick and acetic acid-induced method of analgesia. But, it does not have any significant antipyretic activity in baker’s yeast-induced pyrexia method.

Supplementation of Nigella Sativa, Vitamins C and E Greatly Reduced Pain for Fibromyalgia Patients

My sister suffers with Fibromyalgia and so do others with extreme pain and debilitation.  It is a disease with no cure at this time, but one that has several natural treatments that can help relieve symptoms and give a better quality of life.

Many Fibromyalgia patients are home bound and bed ridden due to the extreme pain and conventional treatments are laden with side effects and more problems.  Some treatments such as moriphine can lead to death.  Moriphine is the number 1 cause of deaths in pharmaceuticals and many celebrities have died from overdose.

You may say, I would not be that stupid.  Well pain make you stupid. Over time the moriphine will work less and less and so patients in desperation will take more, just wanting to stop the pain. The pain is so bad, even death seems better.

According to Natural News, the following will help Fibromyalgia:

Colloidal silver - 2 to 4 ounces daily
Nigella Sativa  - 1 teapsoon with honey 1/2 hour before breakfast and before sleep
Vitamin C - 1000mg daily
niacin and niacinamide
Curcumin and ginger - take as needed to reduce inflammation.
Magnesium - 250 to 400mg daily
proteolytic/digestive enzyme - 2 to 5 capsules on an empty stomach 2 to 3 times a day

Don't forget to drink plenty of apple juice.  Consume apples and/or apple juice. They contain "malic acid", a substance that appears to ease pain and inflammation. Consume at least 2 apples, or 2 8-ounce glasses of juice daily.

Acupuncture helpful:

The National Institutes of Health has deemed acupuncture to be an acceptable alternative, or part of a comprehensive treatment program, for several types of pain. Acupuncture is a 2,500 year-old practice, and the Chinese believe it works by affecting the energy pathways called "meridians" that run through the body. The "meridians" are thought to carry "qi" (pronounced chee), an energy force that must be in precise balance for good health. Poor health habits, such as getting too little sleep, eating the wrong foods, etc. cause qi to become unbalanced. Acupuncture rebalances qi by stimulating specific points along these meridians with extremely fine needles.

And lastly Exercise:

People with fibromyalgia often stop exercising because it is painful. However, inactivity weakens muscles and makes them more sensitive to pain. Low impact aerobics, conditioning exercises, such as swimming, stationary bicycling or stretching, are often helpful for people with fibromyalgia.

Study on Nigella Sativa, Vitamins C and E for Pain Reduction.

Here is a study conducted showing the combination of Nigella Sativa (black cumin), vitamins C and E helped Fibromyalgia patients have less pain and live better.

  • Abstract: Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) is characterized by musculoskeletal pain of unknown etiology and is often accompanied by many psychological symptoms. This study is aimed at evaluating the importance of antioxidants (vitamin E, vitamin C and Nigella saliva seeds) therapy in management of this disease. Fifty female patients having mean age of 37.87±1.68 years suffering from FM were enrolled in the study. Role of oxidative stress was determined by measuring antioxidant enzymes including superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx). antioxidant capacity by ABTS (2,2'- azinobis-(3-ethylbenzo-thiazoline-6-sulphonic diammonium salt) and ferric reducing antioxidant capacity (FRAP) assay in plasma and catalase in erythrocytes. The FM patients were also supplemented with antioxidants (Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Nigella sativa seeds) for two months to assess the impact on activity of FM with the help of VAS (visual analogue scale) (0 being no pain and 100 being severe pain). It was found that FM patients had low activity of SOD, GPx and low antioxidant capacity (AOC) than healthy controls. It was further observed that after two months supplementation with antioxidants (vitamin C, vitamin E and Nigella sativa seeds) the level of SOD, GPx and AOC increased and their mean VAS 90.30±1.52 at baseline decreased to mean VAS of 77.80±1.65 after supplementation with antioxidants. The antioxidant supplementation for two months resulted in significant improvement in FM patients and it may help in minimizing the effects of the oxidative stress.

Black Cumin and Olive Oils - The best massage oil for pain

About two weeks ago I did a bad, bad, bad thing.  I decided to repot my large lemon tree I had purchased a few days ago.  I put it in a pot way too small.  The roots were on top and it was not going to grow.  So basically, I saved a life, lol

My girlfriend told me no, no, no, don't do that, you will hurt your back.  I said "No, I am just going to dump the pot over."  Well stupid me pulled out my disc (sciatica) and never in my life have I ever ever been in such pain.  I was even in the hospital.  I tried absolutely everything and nothing worked.

Well my gardener came to my home to bring me some fig leaves she just processed for me and saw how much pain I was in.   She told me she could do a massage if I like.  She explained that her brother broke his leg and instead of tons of pain meds, they used black cumin oil and olive oil.

I thought she meant separately.  No, she mixes them together and massages very hard to get the oils in the skin deep.  When I say hard, I mean hard.  So she did this for around 10 minutes and let me tell you, it is a miracle work.

So I have a jar of olive oil and black cumin oil on my bedside that I use when I have pain.  Many times I can use that instead of pain treatments.  The other thing I use is turmeric.  I take lots of turmeric mixed with black seeds and black pepper.  Not just any black pepper, but Ceylon black pepper.

I look for the day when I am out of pain, but for now these two things work like a charm.

Building Up Your Immune System with Smart Dosage

Building up your immune system is essential  to fight off disease and especially cancer.  In some cases you could have cancer and not be aware.

Pancreatic cancer can be in your body for up to 20 years before the first signs are seen.  Rarely does this cancer exhibit any signs until it has spread and this is why many cancer patients are Stage IV when discovered.  Stage IV means the cancer has spread to vital organs.

Black Seed Oil has been proven to increase the immune system, reduce inflammation, prevent cancer and/or treat, prevent gray hair, harden nails, eliminate migraines within 24 hours, reverse heart disease, treat diabetes 2 and more.  So the dosage of black seed oil can only help you live longer and better.

What is Smart Dosage

Smart dosage means shocking the system and then tapering off.  For building up the immune system -- start with 2 teaspoons of oil taken with a good raw honey (the best is Yemeni, second Manukah and third local honey)  on an empty stomach.  Then after two weeks change to 1 teaspoon.  This will shock the system with Nigella Sativa many vitamins and nutrients.

Think about a new baby. The baby needs nourishment to grow and be strong.  Without the right nourishment, the baby may die.

Buy honey

The best protocol is to take 1 teaspoon of oil and then take 1/2 teaspoon of black seed honey before sleep.  Black seed honey can be easily made using black seed powder and a good quality honey.  Start with a 1/3 kilo of good honey and then add in 1/4 cup of black seed powder.  Mix well.  Add in another 1/3 kilo of honey and mix well again.

Wait 1 day as the seeds will thicken.  The next day add more powder to the mix.  You want a very thick mixture like chocolate.    This black seed honey is meant to eat alone and not used to mix with your oil.   Oil and honey do not mix. The oil will float to the top and so you must use a good quality seed (Egyptian is the best) that is ground.

New research shows that seeds heated to 100 to 140 degrees are the most effective for cancer treatment.  Seeds that are raw or heated over 150 degrees C. were ineffective.

For Cancer, we suggest 3 teaspoons daily or if you are using  Perfect Press Black Seed oil you can use 2 teaspoons daily.  With this oil we suggest vitamins D3, Vitamin C and IP6, turmeric (must be mixed with black pepper - 1/8 percent) and a healthy diet.  We also suggest olive leaf, pomegranate leaf powder and luffah leaves.

Do not be fooled by other websites who want to sell you oil alone.  A multi-prong effect is best.

Disclaimer:  Suggested dosage is not approved by the FDA and can only be considered a suggestion, not a cure.  It is always adviseable to be seen by your doctor and let him monitor your progress.

I want to say 100 percent I am vastly against chemo and conventional treatments.  It is best you read "Relax it is Only Chemo. "
